Market Drayton law firm signs Armed Forces Covenant.
Onions & Davies has provided expert legal services to people throughout Shropshire and the wider region for over 250 years. We have now committed our support to members of the armed forces by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.
In the pledge, we promise to offer a discount to members of the armed forces community for family work and private client work. Additionally, we will offer a free pre-mediation appointment for both husband and wife, and one joint session of mediation at a discounted fee.
Onions & Davies will also, actively participate in Armed Forces Day and will support the Royal British Legion in the sale of poppies for Armistice Day.
At the signing, Louise Martin, associate solicitor and Onions & Davies’s family mediator said:
“With such a military presence in Market Drayton, we are proud to support our armed forces and are delighted to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant. We can now demonstrate our commitment to those individuals and we shall continue supporting our local community. We would encourage any person who serves or has served in the armed forces, and their families, to contact us for details of the services we can offer.”
Captain Brett Eddas, Unit Welfare Officer, 1st Battalion the Royal Irish Regiment, said,
“It’s fantastic to see another local Shropshire company sign the Armed Forces Covenant with the 1st Battalion the Royal Irish Regiment. I was privileged to be involved in the official signing and hope the relationship with Onions & Davies and the military community flourishes, to the benefit both parties.
On behalf of the military community, I thank Onions and Davies for officially demonstrating their commitment, pledge and for recognising that military personnel and their families deserve to be treated fairly.”
Over 1,500 businesses have already signed the Armed Forces Covenant nationwide.
