My proudest accomplishment is...
I feel proud to work in the legal industry where I am able to help local people with the very personal issues that are affecting their lives, and to assist them to find the best resolution for them.
My proudest accomplishment of late has been training as a Family Mediator which not only allows me to directly help separated couples, but gives me a different perspective on my work as a family lawyer too.
What skill would you like to master?
I have a long held desire to learn Polish as I am half polish and only know a few words. My grandparents were WW2 refugees.
What job would you be terrible at?
Legal Secretary! Our legal support staff do a great job putting up with us!
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
If you have two frogs to eat, eat the biggest frog first! Always tackle the difficult issues first and then the rest will come easier!
What are three interesting facts about you?
- I used to play the saxophone – until my braces got in the way in my late teens.
- I studied law in London and lived in the south east for almost a decade where I trained and qualified as a solicitor.
- I used to do prosecution work for an animal welfare charity, mainly sentencing offenders for neglect and cruelty to animals under the Animal Welfare Act in the Magistrates courts of SE London. I was in court several times a week and really cut my teeth on advocacy work early on in my career with this very rewarding work.
