Onions & Davies are proud and delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award for 2022.
Representing the highest badge of honour, Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards are awarded to those that employ and support those who serve, veterans and their families.
This year, the UK Government awarded over 150 different organisations for their commendable support towards the Armed Forces community.
It’s amazing to see each year the number of micro-organisations and small-to-medium sized enterprises (44% this year) be recognised for their outstanding work.
In addition, we would like to acknowledge the hard work and effort our Associate Solicitor, Kim Mapperson, has made in presenting our application, and generally with upholding our pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant.
We are extremely proud, as only 1 of 5 businesses awarded Gold level in the West Midlands we have achieved this great accomplishment.
The Employer Recognition Scheme was launched in 2014 by the then Prime Minister David Cameron to recognise employer support for the wider principles of the Armed Forces Covenant and the full spectrum of Defence personnel. This includes the Reserves, service leavers, cadets, spouses and wounded, injured and sick.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation ensuring that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly. More information about the Armed Forces Covenant and how to get involved is available here.
We now aim to continue our support of the Armed Forces Community and if you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact us!
